If a hard disk is changed, memory (RAM) is changed or Windows is reinstalled on a previously activated pos station, the pos station must be activated again with a new serial number. Similarly, is the pos station has failed and AmigoPOS is installed on a new pos station, a new serial number is required. Contact the technical support staff using a support ticket before requesting a new serial number. Please include the purchaser's name and the reason for the new serial number in the support ticket.

 

Complete the following steps to request a new serial number:

 

 

Step 1: Locate the original serial number confirmation email

 

If you are unable to locate the email, please submit a support ticket to have it sent to you.

Step 2: Do one of the following

 

 

 

a.) New Pos Station (if transferring license to a new pos station or windows has been reinstalled)

 

Locate the original serial number confirmation email and rename the new pos station to the same name as the old pos station. Use this help topic to rename the pos station.

b.) Existing POS Station (if the original license request must be resubmitted from an existing pos station)

 

To clear the current activation, open MANAGER | SYSTEM | LICENSE. click CTL+ALT+L simultaneously and then click OK to clear the activation.

Step 3: Submit License Request

 

 

 

 

Open MANAGER | SYSTEM | LICENSE and enter the same information as in the original license request. The Windows Name must be identical to the information in the original license request or the activation will fail.
