Introduction

 

Vantiv (formerly Mercury) is developed and supported by Vantiv and is included with AmigoPOS at no additional cost. A merchant account from Mercury Payment Systems is required to use Mercury Pay. Visit http://www.vantiv.com for additional information. AmigoPOS does not accept compensation of any sort to include Vantiv (formerly Mercury). It is included for merchants that require a new merchant account and wish to avoid the expense and setup associated with Verifone Point, Datacap NETePay or an external credit card terminal.
 
Mercury Pay is the transaction engine that handle all payment processing requests submitted by AmigoPOS. AmigoPOS is capable of processing credit/debit card transaction using the Datacap PDCX or EMV component. Reports and other advanced functions are available with MercuryView®, a secure web site using any internet browser. The following integration methods are available:

 

• PDCX: Offers tokenization with a wide range of supported devices

• E2E: Offers end to end encryption using the Verifone VX805

• EMV: Offers end to end encryption with EMV (chip card) support using the Verifone VX805

Setting Up Mercury Pay
After obtaining a merchant account from Mercury Payment Systems, enter the back office parameters by selecting the integration method above.
 

Using AmigoPOS to process credit card transactions
After Vantiv (formerly Mercury) and AmigoPOS Back Office are configured, credit card transactions can be processed as described in the Processing Transactions topic.
