AmigoPOS supports HID card readers that are compatible with the Datacap NETePay dsiPDCX component so that the same device may be used for processing credit card transactions, local gift card transactions and employee card login.

 

The following are the restrictions placed on gift, loyalty and employee login cards, which is most cases is compatible with the recommended card encoding format:

 

 

• Only Track 2 data is returned
• If the data read appears to be a major credit card an error will be returned. The Datacap dsiPDCX component recognizes a credit card if either of the following are true:

- Starts with 2, 4 , 5, or 6 and is 16 digits in length

- Starts with 3 and is 14, 15, or 16 digits in length

 

 

After configuring the device for use with NETePay, open the MSR settings screen in Back Office | Settings | Devices and set the MSR type to Datacap PDCX (HID).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click Test MSR to verify that the MSR is set up correctly.
