General Settings

AmigoPOS enables the system administrator to access most program settings in Back Office | Settings | Main Settings. Most settings are shared by all computers and are only entered once. Other settings, such as device ports, are not shared and must be configured on each computer independently.

The General Settings tab in Back Office | Settings | Main Settings contains information that identifies the business name and contact information as well as the local pos station id. The Pos Station ID must be unique on the network to allow proper cash drawer management and reporting. Note that AmigoPOS 8 retrieves the pos station id from the serial number.
